Keith Norden and Matt Chesnut represented Team Volusia EDC at the 2018 Powering Florida: Illumination held in Jacksonville on April 2-3. Team Volusia Board Level Investor Florida Power & Light holds the Illumination events annually, in which site selectors and experts from the field of economic development are brought in to discuss the current issues in economic development and trends site selectors are experiencing in the market.
The event was moderated by Del Boyette of Boyette Strategic Partners and featured speakers were Eric Silagy, President & CEO of FPL; Dr. Jerry Parrish, Chief Economist and Director of Research Florida Chamber Foundation; Kay Stebbins, Director of Research & Analytics of Boyette Strategic Advisors; Allea Newbold, Principal with Ryan; Maria Wells, President of the Florida Realtors; Chris Knight, Co-Founder WAVTEQ; and Carol Johnson, Founder of Continuous Dialog.
The event is also an opportunity for networking with other economic development professionals throughout the state of Florida to discuss best practices in economic development organizations, and to forge closer working ties with individuals from the utility partners in the state of Florida.
