Soon travelers in the Greater Daytona Region will be able to travel to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and Philadelphia (PHL) with ease. On December 15, 2020 American Airlines will offer two new non-stop daily roundtrip flights to both destinations through April 2021.
The new flights will further connect Volusia County to tourism and business hubs across the country. Passengers can select from business and economy class seats.
Even though the airline industry’s travel numbers are down nationwide due to the effects of COVID-19, the addition of flights from the Daytona Beach area is a sign of the region's continued growth. Even during a time of limited travel, Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) had steadily rising passenger numbers, which further confirms the growing role of Florida (and, specifically, Volusia County) in flight.
In addition to the newly announced flights, American Airlines also operates daily flights from Daytona Beach to Charlotte, North Carolina; while Delta provides convenient travel to Atlanta, GA. Tickets are now available for purchase.
