The Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce organized an Intercity Trip to the City of Virginia Beach in October. Virginia Beach, part of the Hampton Roads region, was chosen as the destination for several reasons. First, it has a boardwalk area fronting the Atlantic Ocean which has witnessed a great amount of successful development through public-private partnerships. In addition, there have been numerous redevelopment projects throughout the city. Not only is Virginia Beach known as a resort community, it is also known as a preferred location for business.
Keith Norden joined area business leaders on the trip to Virginia Beach. Kudos go to Nancy Keefer, President of the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce and Chamber Chair, Teresa Rand, as well as the Intercity Trip Chair, Bob Williams who planned and executed an outstanding venue which allowed all participants to interact with the business and political leadership of the City of Virginia Beach and the Hampton Roads region.
